Mooreast Holdings Completes S\$6.0 Million Private Placement to Strengthen Financial Position
Singapore, 8 June 2026 – Mooreast Holdings Ltd. (“Mooreast” or the “Group”), a leader in mooring solutions for the offshore oil & gas, marine, and offshore renewable energy industries, has announced the successful completion of a private placement, raising gross proceeds of S\$6,000,750.
Key Highlights
- Placement of 44,450,000 new ordinary shares at S\$0.135 per share, representing a 2.03% discount to the volume-weighted average price of S\$0.1378 on the last full trading day before the halt.
- The new Placement Shares account for approximately 14.65% of Mooreast’s enlarged share capital (totaling 303,450,000 shares, excluding treasury shares).
- The Placement was fully subscribed, attracting institutional investors approved under the Monetary Authority of Singapore’s Equity Market Development Programme—namely Amova Asset Management and Lion Global Investors Limited (as investment manager for its clients), as well as Asdew Acquisitions, ICH Synergrowth Fund, and other corporate and individual high net worth investors.
- ZICO Capital Pte. Ltd. acted as Placement Agent, and Maybank Securities Pte. Ltd. was appointed as Sub-Placement Agent.
- The net proceeds of approximately S\$5.8 million (after deducting fees and expenses) will be used entirely for ongoing projects and working capital, providing additional financial flexibility.
Important Shareholder Information & Price Sensitivity
- The Placement introduces new institutional investors to Mooreast, broadening the shareholder base and potentially enhancing trading liquidity. This enlarged institutional presence is often seen as a positive for share price stability and market confidence.
- The slight discount at which the Placement Shares were issued (2.03% below the recent average price) could affect short-term share price, but the strategic rationale is to strengthen the Group’s balance sheet and enable pursuit of larger and more diverse projects.
- Proceeds will support ongoing project bids and the development of Mooreast’s newly acquired waterfront facility at 60 Shipyard Crescent, which is earmarked for expansion and growth in floating renewable energy, particularly offshore wind farms.
- Mooreast’s CEO, Erik Ellingsen, emphasized that the capital injection provides flexibility to pursue new projects and deliver on commitments, reinforcing confidence in the Group’s long-term prospects and business quality.
Business Overview
Mooreast has nearly three decades of experience in mooring solutions and is leveraging its expertise for floating renewable energy projects, such as offshore wind turbines. The company has participated in developmental and prototype projects in Japan and Europe, positioning itself for growth in the global renewable energy sector.
Potential Share Price Impact
- Positive: The enlarged shareholder base, improved liquidity, and strengthened financial position are likely to be viewed positively by investors. Mooreast’s ability to undertake larger and more complex projects may support its longer-term growth and share value.
- Negative/Neutral: The issuance of new shares at a slight discount may exert downward pressure in the short term as dilution occurs, but this is offset by the strategic benefits and institutional investor confidence.
