iWOW Technology Acquires The Gentle Group to Expand Longevity Ecosystem and Elder Nutrition Solutions in Singapore

iWOW Technology to Acquire The Gentle Group in Strategic Expansion into Longevity Economy

iWOW Technology to Acquire The Gentle Group in Strategic Expansion into Longevity Economy

Key Highlights of the Announcement

  • iWOW Technology Limited (SGX: IWO) has entered into a Sale and Purchase Agreement to acquire
The Gentle Group Pte. Ltd. and its subsidiary, a leading provider of therapeutic nutrition solutions for seniors.
  • Transaction Value: The acquisition is valued at S\$11.2 million and is expected to be earnings-accretive as the business scales and profitability improves.
  • Strong Growth from Target: The Gentle Group has demonstrated robust growth, with revenue increasing at a CAGR of approximately 51% from FY2022 to FY2025.
  • Strategic Evolution for iWOW: This deal marks a significant shift for iWOW from a niche AgeTech provider to a data-driven player in the broader longevity economy.
  • Expansion of Offerings: iWOW will integrate therapeutic nutrition (Sustenance) into its existing pillars of Safety and Social Connection, positioning itself as an integrated platform for ageing societies.
  • Market Drivers: With one in four Singapore residents expected to be 65 or above by 2030, demand for eldercare solutions—especially community and home-based care—is set to surge.

Details of the Acquisition and The Gentle Group

  • The Gentle Group is a Singapore-based provider of clinically formulated therapeutic meals and rehabilitation solutions for seniors and healthcare institutions. It develops internationally compliant texture-modified foods for conditions such as dysphagia, kidney disease, and diabetes.
  • The Gentle Group operates through three business units:

    • GentleFood: Production of therapeutic meals
    • GentleCare: Rehabilitation services
    • GentleDining: Healthcare food solutions
  • The Gentle Group has established a strong B2B presence, serving hospitals, nursing homes (including Vanguard Healthcare, Methodist Welfare, Orange Valley), and senior day care operators (such as PAP Community Foundation, St Luke’s ElderCare). It is also expanding into the consumer market as Singapore shifts to “ageing-in-place” strategies.
  • To meet growing demand, The Gentle Group plans to scale production capacity by up to 5x.

Investment Merits and Price-Sensitive Points for Shareholders

  1. Strengthening Recurring Revenue: Therapeutic meal solutions are high-frequency, daily consumption products, typically sold via subscription or standing orders. This model introduces a more predictable and stable recurring revenue stream to iWOW, reducing reliance on one-off projects and enhancing cash flow stability.
  2. Increasing Customer Lifetime Value: Nutrition provides daily touchpoints with seniors and their families, deepening relationships and enabling cross-selling of iWOW’s AgeTech solutions. This is expected to increase retention and overall customer lifetime value.
  3. Unlocking Data Synergies: By combining activity data from AgeTech devices with nutrition data, iWOW can build a holistic wellbeing profile for seniors. Over time, this could enable predictive intervention capabilities, shifting iWOW from reactive to proactive longevity management—a strong competitive moat.
  4. Expanding Addressable Market: The acquisition extends iWOW’s reach beyond AgeTech into the broader, fast-growing longevity and eldercare markets in Singapore and potentially the region.
  5. Earnings Accretive: Management expects the acquisition to be earnings-accretive as Gentle Group’s profitability improves with scale, which may positively impact future earnings per share (EPS).

Strategic Commentary

Dr. Shen Yiru, CEO of The Gentle Group: “Food is one of the most powerful forms of care — yet it has remained one of the least transformed by technology. This partnership with iWOW changes that. Together, we are building the future of therapeutic nutrition, where AI and advanced food production enable us to deliver precision, scale, and dignity in every meal. Our ambition is simple: to make high-quality, therapeutic food accessible to every senior who needs it.”

Raymond Bo, CEO of iWOW: “Safety earns trust in critical moments, but food builds trust every day. By bringing both together, we are creating a continuous relationship with families — one that allows us to support seniors earlier and more meaningfully across their ageing journeys.”

Why This Could Be Price Sensitive

  • The acquisition creates immediate and long-term strategic value for iWOW, strengthening recurring revenue and supporting margin expansion.
  • The integration of data-driven nutrition and activity monitoring positions iWOW as a differentiated leader in the longevity economy, opening up new business opportunities in predictive healthcare.
  • The planned expansion in production capacity and entry into the consumer market could significantly accelerate revenue growth and market penetration.
  • The deal’s earnings-accretive nature and potential for improved cash flow may positively impact the share price and investor confidence.
