Wall Street Cheers Rate-Cut Hopes as Jumbo Group Posts Softer Earnings

Jumbo Group reported full-year earnings of $8.7 million, down 36.6% y-o-y on higher operating costs.
The board recommended a final tax-exempt dividend of 0.25 cents per share and a special tax-exempt dividend of 0.5 cents per share for FY2025 — bringing total dividends to 1.25 cents per share.

Tech stocks led a broad rise in US equities as expectations for interest-rate cuts lifted sentiment ahead of the Thanksgiving break.

Alibaba’s management warned of slower e-commerce CMR growth next quarter, sending its shares down 1.9% to HK$154.8 on HK$17.26 billion turnover.

Meituan was the top blue-chip gainer. Nomura projected sharply narrower losses in Alibaba’s quick commerce business, a development seen as positive for Meituan.

Pony.ai surged 4.4% after quarterly city-level bike-sharing profits turned positive.

NIO reported a narrowing non-GAAP quarterly loss, but weaker-than-expected guidance pressured its shares, which slid 6.2%.

Chow Tai Fook posted a 0.1% rise in interim net profit but tumbled 6.1%, the poorest blue-chip performer. Morgan Stanley noted its unexpectedly higher gross margin guidance.

KL:5225.KL:IHH Healthcare Bhd

IHH Healthcare delivered a 15.36% increase in net profit to RM616 million for 3QFY2025 on stronger day-care services and improved cost controls. Revenue rose 16.43% to RM6.57 billion, supported by its completed Fortis acquisition in India.

KL:1961.KL:IOI Corp Bhd

IOI Corp’s 1QFY2026 net profit fell 48% to RM369.4 million due to the absence of last year’s large forex gains, despite revenue climbing 14.2% to RM3.05 billion. Underlying profit before tax rose 41.7% to RM508.8 million.

KL:2445.KL:Kuala Lumpur Kepong Bhd (KLK)

KLK’s 4QFY2025 net profit surged to RM95.96 million from RM6.77 million, driven by stronger plantation and property results. Plantation profit jumped 18.8% to RM625.9 million. The group declared a 40-sen final dividend.

KL:1015.KL:AMMB Holdings Bhd (AMMB)

AMMB lifted its dividend payout as 2QFY2026 net profit rose 6.8% to RM534.58 million, supported by higher non-interest and net interest income. It will distribute an interim dividend of 12.5 sen per share.

KL:5031.KL:Time dotCom Bhd (TIMECOM)

Time dotCom nearly doubled its 3QFY2025 net profit to RM106.15 million and announced a special dividend of 21.64 sen per share. Revenue grew 7% y-o-y to RM453.76 million.

KL:5200.KL:UOA Development Bhd (UOADEV)

UOA Development more than doubled its 3QFY2025 net profit to RM115.63 million as progress billings surged. Revenue climbed 54% to RM217.3 million, with strong sales from Bamboo Hills Residences, Duo Tower, Laurel Residence and Aster Hill.

Farm Fresh recorded its highest-ever quarterly earnings, with 2QFY2026 net profit rising 40% to RM36.66 million on stronger domestic sales and growth in Cambodia and the Philippines. Revenue climbed 18.4% to RM294.94 million.
