📈 Singtel Posts $4.02B FY2025 Profit, Powered by HQ Divestment & Operational Gains

Z74.SI (Singapore Telecommunications Ltd)

Singtel (Z74.SI) has reported a 405% year-on-year surge in FY2025 net profit to S$4.02 billion, boosted by a S$1.55 billion gain from the partial divestment of its Comcentre headquarters.

Excluding exceptional items, underlying net profit rose 9% to S$2.47 billion, driven by stronger performance at Optus (Australia), NCS (IT services), and regional mobile associates in India and Thailand.

A final dividend of 10 cents has been declared, bringing the full-year payout to 17 cents, up from 15 cents in FY2024.

Group CEO Yuen Kuan Moon credited better execution and cost optimisation, while cautioning that macroeconomic and geopolitical risks remain. Still, Singtel expects EBIT (excluding associates) to grow in the high single digits in FY2026.

The group is raising its asset recycling target from S$6 billion to S$9 billion, having already met more than half of the original goal. In addition to the Comcentre sale, Singtel has been gradually trimming its stake in Bharti Airtel.

Backed by these strategic moves, Singtel’s shares have climbed around 60% over the past year.

As part of enhanced capital management, Singtel plans to buy back S$2 billion worth of shares over three years. This is on top of value realisation dividends funded by asset recycling proceeds, net of capex.

Group CFO Arthur Lang says the share buyback and dividend strategy underscore confidence in the group’s long-term value and commitment to delivering returns to shareholders.
